Students will learn to scientically understand disabilities and living environments, as well as the multifaceted approaches used to support them. ey will be prepared to work as professionals in both physical and mental rehabilitation. Occupational TherapyClinical settings in a growing number of medical facilities are introducing increasingly sophisticated and precise medical equipment. Students in the Department of Clinical Engineering are trained to become clinical engineers who can operate and manage such specialized medical equipment.Clinical Engineeringe Department of Lifelong Sports and Health Sciences develops medically-based exercise programs to prevent disease and promote health, and trains professionals who can give practical guidance in a safe and eective manner. We focus on training paramedics, who, under doctor’s orders, are able to adminis-ter rst aid to emergency patients before arriving at the hospital by ambulance.Lifelong Sports and Health Sciencese Department of Early Childhood Education applies modern childcare and education theories to solve problems in real-world situations. Students will develop the skills needed to plan events for young children and to collaborate with local childcare support groups. e aim of the program is for students to obtain both a kindergarten teacher's license and a nursery teacher certicate.Early Childhood Educatione Major in Contemporary Education embraces three fundamental educational principles: scientic thinking, the power of language, and the ability to explore problems. We help our students grow and develop their strengths in the areas that match their individual aptitudes. Upon completing the program, students will be able to obtain an elementary school teaching certicate, a junior high school teaching certicate (science), and/or a special-needs school teaching certicate.Contemporary Education (Major in Contemporary Education)Students in the Major in Secondary Education of Japanese Language and Mathematics will acquire skills in active learning and other new teaching methods. ey will be able to guide the academic progress of their pupils and meet the needs of today's society and the demands of their communities.
