―65―JournalofChubuUniversityEducationNo.17(2017)ImpactoftheDeliveryStyleofWomenAssignedtoStudentsDuringMaternityNursingPracticum:UtilizingtheTextMiningTechniquesOKAKURAMisaki*1,YOKOTENaomi*2,YAMASHITAMegumi*3,andHASHIMOTOTaeko*1*1ResearchAssociate,CenterforNursingPracticum,ChubuUniversity*2AssociateProfessor,DepartmentofNursing,CollegeofLifeandHealth,ChubuUniversity*3Lecturer,DepartmentofNursing,CollegeofLifeandHealth,ChubuUniversityAbstractOwingtolowbirthnumbersandincreasinghigh-riskbirthnumbers,someeducationalinstitutionsinstructtheirnursingstudentsbyassigningthemmothersandchildrenfollowingcesareansections,whichareconsideredasabnormaldelivery.Inthisstudy,weconductedacomparativereviewofstudents'learningthroughthedeliverystyleofwomenassignedtothemintheclinicalsettingatouruniversityandinvestigatedissuesassociatedwiththepresentteachingmethodsandinstructionsystem.Aquantitativelanguageanalysiswasperformedonstudents'reportson"theroleofmaternitynursinglearnedthroughMaternityNursingPracticum"(n=109,freedescription)usingTextMiningStudioforWindowsver5.0.Subsequently,datawerequalitativelyanalyzedbyreferringtothetraininggoalwhilefocusingonthedifferenceinthedeliverystyleoftheassignedpostpartumwomentounderstandwhatstudentswerelearningthroughMaternityNursingPracticum.Resultsrevealedthatstudentswhowereassignedwomenwhohadvaginaldeliveryunderstoodthecharacteristicsofnursingandsubjectsofcareuniquetomaternitynursingbycomparingthemwithdifferentareasofnursingpracticum.Conversely,studentswhowereassignedwomenwhohadcesareanbirthunderstoodtheneedforpost-laparotomyandpost-partumcare,andastheassignedperiodwasextended,theywereabletohaverepeatedexperiencesandunderstandthenecessityforinstruction,continuouscare,andself-care.Theresultsalsoindicatedthatthetraininggoalwassufficientlyachievedevenifstudentswereassignedwomenwhohadcesareanbirth,thoughthecontentsoflearningweredistinctive.Keywordstextmining,maternitynursing,clinicaltraining,deliverystyle,students
