―111―JournalofChubuUniversityEducationNo.17（2017）Effectsof"SelfMotivationalDevelopment"inCareerEducation:Evaluationof2016AutumnSemesterCourseSATOTomomi＊1,SUGIMOTOHideharu＊2andTERAZAWAAsako＊3＊1AssociateProfessor,InstituteofLiberalArts,KyushuInstituteofTechnology＊2SeniorLecturer,DepartmentofPsychology,SurugadaiUniversity＊3Professor,DepartmentofManagementSynthesis,CollegeofBusinessAdministrationandInformationScience,ChubuUniversityAbstractThisstudyexaminedtheeffectsof“Selfmotivationaldevelopment”incareereducation.Comparisonbetweenstudentswhoattendedtheclassandwhodidnot,revealedthattheclasshadabeneficialeffectongeneralskillforproductivecollegelife,suchasself-esteemandcommunicationskills.However,thestudentswhodidnotattendtheclassincreasedcareerconsciousnesssuchasself-efficacyoncareerdecisionandcareeradaptability,asmuchasthestudentswhoattendedtheclass.Thisstudyalsofoundoutthatmoreimprovementofthegeneralskillsandthecareerconsciousnesswasseeninshort-termintensiveclassthaninlong-termdistributedclass.Inaddition,thestudentswhocouldspecifywhattheyhavelearnedfromthecourseshowedgoodimprovementofthegeneralskillsandthecareerconsciousness.Fromtheseresults,thisstudymadeseveralsuggestionsonhowtoprovidemoreeffectivecareereducationin“Selfmotivationaldevelopment.”KeywordsEducationalevaluation,Careereducation,Careerconsciousness,Classformation
